About The Artwork
The copper shape is a fishing tackle spinner from Mounts Bay beach, the skull found in a charity shop. I found the two objects went together so well and in the current coronavirus crisis there was only one title I could imagine. I will make a donation to an NHS charity from the sale of this piece, it is the least we can do for the people on the front line. There premature deaths from the virus have been awful and the rest of the world in lockdown has been very difficult for many of the worlds poor. My work is made with the utmost respect for the environment, only glue and paint were new materials. Maybe this new approach to living frugally, working at home and the world economy shrinking means that the environment and animal habitats will improve. This assemblage is a miniature, and is made to be put on a shelf, not supplied

Tim makes work about the division, opposition and collusion between animals and humans. Drawing, performance, assemblage, film, collage, oil painting and the re-use of materials and objects is central to his work. Tim won the Ovalhouse prize at Chelsea College of Art, and Gloucester University prize at the Open West in 2015. He is a member of the committee of the Newlyn Society of Artists. Has exhibited in Berlin and Baku Zdonov in the Czech Republic and is represented by Daisy Laing, Penzance, Avalon in Marazion and Jupiter Newlyn.
