About The Artwork
This piece is the scale model on which the final 5m high sculpture that crowns the Hyatt hotel building on 31th Gran Vía in Madrid, Spain, is based. It is made of resin and fiberglass, hand painted by the author with acrylic patina and bronze powder. The base of the sculpture is a plate of "corten" steel.The model that inspired the artist was one of her daughters.

Natividad Sánchez-Fernández was born in Jaén, Spain, in 1960. From a very young age she felt an inclination for the drawing. She studied architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid. Between 1988 and 2010 she was engaged in architecture, carrying out many projects of various kinds.
