ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Asymmetry in ceramic mugs is rare. Hand building frees the design elements from the cylinder form. Add to that patterns and glazes to open up possibilities for exploration. Add to that my background in Art History and experience in painting. Re-think ceramics out beyond symmetry and quietness into asymmetry and rhythms and patterns. Pattern matters. Touch matters.
