Created from tens of thousands of small nails. This study is of Dominic North who came to pose at Marcus's UK studios in 2015, in 2016 Marcus created two nail sculptures of Dominic. Taking around 6 weeks each to complete. Marcus is inspired to capture the athletic nature of these principle dancers that pose for him. Creating ever more challenging poses and photo-realistic sculptures from the humble nail. Dominic North is Matthew Bourne's principle dancer, having appeared in Edward Scissorhands, Swan Lake, Car Man, and the Red Shoes.This sculpture has been counter signed by Dominic North.
