Filipe Ferreira was born in Portugal, and from an early age developed a special interest for painting and sculpture, greatly influenced by his childhood interactions with his father's carpentry. Since then, he maintained a deep connection to the world of art, developing his expertise and knowledge in a self-taught manner. Filipe is particularly passionate about the art of sculpture. His natural materials of choice are wood, which brings a sensation of warmth and life, and shale, whose sedimentary layers reveal a rustic and sophisticated presence. The pieces reflect the momentaneous inspiration when working on the fragments found during his casual walks throughout mountains and forests.
