ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work is made of recycled wood and stone. Each piece has a different story. They have travelled to many places and have seen how the world is increasingly globalised and ruined. Where more and more the natural is destroyed to recreate artificial elements. When all these pieces are put together, assembled and carved, they recreate a uniformity, which somehow purifies those imperfections, the piece is a place where you can escape and take refuge. Dystopia has been selected in several sculpture competitions in Spain.

Visual Artist based in Valencia, Spain. Denislav Mitkov was born in Bulgaria (Haskovo) in 1995. Since 2000 he lives in Spain, Valencia. Since childhood he showed curiosity and interest in art. At the age of 17 he decided to take a degree in Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He is interested in many artistic fields, but mostly he makes sculptures and installations. He has participated in national exhibitions (Madrid, Valencia, La Rioja, Salamanca, Barcelona, Seville, Segovia, Córdoba, Alicante, Ciudad Real, Melilla, Asturias, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha...) and international ones (Australia, Italy, Brazil, California and Bulgaria).
