ABOUT THE ARTWORK

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

‘’Echoes’’ was created in early 2021. The idea of creation arose from combining different parts of Soviet machines, on one hand, to express one's vision and thoughts, on the other hand, to objectify post-Soviet industrial heritage, representing it in a new way through redefinition and reproduction.

One of the primary tasks that I choose as an artist is my relationship with the material. The cognition of the material, the attitude of the sculptor to it, and the search for volumetric, color solutions will tend to become the objective images of my ideas. That is why I do not limit myself in the choice of material, the size of the works, making both small and large sculptures and installations up to 4.5 m high. Since the last years of my studies, especially after graduation, I have focused on creating, using the need to formulate my own thoughts, feelings, and creative methods. I work with scrap metal to use it as a creative base and main material. It was within the framework of this interest that I set up my own sculpture studio in the factory leftover from the Soviet period. I was born in 1987 in the city of Sisian, Syunik region, Armenian. After graduating from the Art School after Zakar Khachatryan in 2004, I entered the Department of Sculpture at the Panos Terlemezyan College of Fine Arts. From 2011- to 2017 I studied at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts and received a master's degree. From 2016- to 2021 I taught at Panos Terlemezyan Art College at the Department of sculpture
