Africa was born in Escacena del Campo, a village of Huelva in Andalucia. She graduated with a Bachelor at the School of Arts of Sevilla and studied another 3 years at the school of Artesanos de Gelves where she studies all the facets of ceramic making, reproduction of all art history, restauration, and specialised in the ceramic painting. Through different art fairs and congreses her artworks have been travelling around the world for the last 18 years. She has a pronounced handwriting in her art works thanks to experimenting in many fields. She uses elements of nature, ornamental influences, floral details , etnic and iberical influences and arabic art. Living in Andalucia with all the influences of jewish, arabic and european history, the colors, the numerous geometric tiles, architecture, catholic religion, and nature everyday is an inspiring one.
