Everything about Elusive speaks of the precise moment where speed and power, balance to create amazing movement. The grain of the marble, aerodynamic curves and precise balance point of the design, work together to create the illusion of movement in this very still and beautiful selection of rescued and repurposed marble. Elusive was created from Danby Marble and here is it's history... Quarried in Vermont as rectangular architectural blocks of stone. These blocks of stone lived a purposeful life on a downtown Dallas building for many decades. When the building was torn down, several damaged blocks were donated to the Creative Arts Center of Dallas, where I teach stone carving. Over the last few years these blocks have become become beautiful works of art through the hands of instructors and students. Elusive is carved from a bit of Dallas history!

Creating art as a kid = Yep / College Degree in Fine Art = Yep / Become an artist = hmmm, sort of, hmmm, not yet, hmmm / Turn 50 years old = Yep, Let's Do Art!!!! / It took 50 years for me to be in a place secure enough to create art. After a small bout of homelessness in my 20's, I focused on an income in the corporate world. Then the corporate world, unceremoniously, spit me out in 2008. I turned my love of dance into my next career. So much joy came from this, I then turned my attention to art. I have been creating and showing sculpture ever since. Each day I dance and create art is filled with joy! Each day I share what I know with others about dance and art is filled with even more joy. My motto... Wake Up, Be Awesome, Be Kind, Repeat
