FRAGMENT 2_17 Sculpture

17 medal fragments from brass and glass. The starting point is that metal seeks its opposite, through which it can be found and acknowledged or denied. Leading was the subconscious desire to turn the strong and unyielding metal composition into something fragile and vulnerable. Everything is valued through its opposite. Glass was the answer. The antipode that was sought. Our mind works with a large amount of facts, pictures and truths that we often don't know where they come from. As if encoded in our genes, they rise to the surface of our consciousness at the right moment. Through memory, the past permeates the present. There is a dance between what has been and what is now.
