ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This powerful life size sculpture was inspired by the false impression of strength and beauty. The vulnerability and erosion of a human life. It was not just about showing uniqueness of materials used, or trendy experimental spirit. It was about sculpting a story and recording time. Constructed by meticulously welding thousands of steel pieces together to form the structure. Countless hours then go into the process of fill welding and manipulating the structure’s surface. No casting or molds are used in my work. Steel was chosen as a medium because of it’s unmoving strength.
