Genesis Sculpture

Genesis was one of the first pieces of the Large Organics series which was inspired by the natural world of flowers, trees and plants - for example, their seed pods, petals, leaves and stamens. On my travels around the famous gardens of England, and many other countries, I became fascinated, as a sculptor/maker of three dimensional objects, by the form, delicacy and robustness of these fragile elements of nature. I did not try to copy them but I tried to capture the essence of their beauty and purpose, seen here as the unfolding of the petals of a flower. Hand made in polished stainless steel it is timeless, requires very little maintenance and is suitable for siting indoors or out, in almost any size of space. Its contrasting base is also in stainless steel but it could be located on a different plinth to increase its presence or blend it into its surroundings. Each sculpture is unique, numbered and signed.
