ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Life-size stone head, carved from coarse Gildehauser sandstein. When I started working with this type of stone, I was told it was impossible to work finely with the usual machines. This is true. One must use hand tools with care and skill to achieve anything satisfactory.

He makes hand carved sculptures in wood and stone, prefering to work with locally found materials. Often these materials are from recycled sources. His work is mainly figurative, and explores the sensual nature of both the material and the human body.
