The piece "Greek Glaux" is inspired by the rich mythology and symbolism of ancient Greece, where the owl was considered a symbol of wisdom and protection. In particular, it is inspired by the goddess Athena, who is often depicted with an owl, known as "Glaux," by her side. This symbol represents not only wisdom but also vigilance and knowledge. The theme of the Greek owl and the figure of "Glaux" were selected to highlight the importance of wisdom and protection in Greek culture. The style, which fuses the traditional with the modern, reflects the goal of creating timeless works.

Born in Colombia in 1979, Gustavo Quintero is convinced that "Art is a way of dialoguing with the soul." His works demonstrate the human capacity to conceive something unique and singular. Through his art, he invites us to discover and reveal the hidden beauty in the everyday, transforming our perception and enriching our experience. For Quintero, his grandfather, a strong, honorable, and very hardworking man, assumed the paternal role in his life after his father abandoned him and his mother at an early age. He shared experiences and advice that, over the years, settled in his mind like seeds in a garden, germinating, growing, and forming strong roots and stems, thus bearing more fruit. Currently, the artist believes that these teachings have guided him to incorporate clear principles and values into his life. It is precisely from the trunk of that tree, which has borne such fruit, that his need to express himself arises. "When we manage to see the fruits of a tree as its expression, we understand that we are the expression of life," Quintero affirms. For him, working with wood stems from the notion that it was once inspired by life. That life continues to germinate in the seeds he expresses, and its grain, texture, knots, rings, aroma, and even its color are evident parts of its beauty.
