ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was inspired by erosion and nature: driftwood, seashells, mountains. I layered painted pieces of wood that I cut with a jigsaw and painted in an earthy vegetable-toned palette. It gives the work depth and a sculptural quality, just like the objects that inspired it. I hope this work conveys warmth, and makes the viewer feel relaxed and grounded. Wired and ready to hang.

Inspired by nature, landscapes and erosion, I love organic shapes. I work intuitively and experimentally, driven by composition, color, and the possibilities in experimental materials. My experiences in textile design and printmaking inform my process, showing up in the pattern, layering and composition of the work.
