Hello, How Are You?
A young girl who is looking at her mobile phone. She may be waiting for a friend to message her or could be messaging someone.
The feel of the sculpture is calm and quiet.
During the last year we have all come to rely on our phones more and more to keep in contact with friends and family, a simple message can keep us connected.
I created this sculpture to reflect the changes I have encountered over the past year.
This is a small sculpture which will sit happily on any side table, a reminder to stay in touch with our friends and loved ones.
The sculpture is cast in bronze resin in a limited edition of 35

Influences Rodin - described sculpture as drawing in space, Giaccometti - exploration the human condition Egyptian and Etruscan Art - Simplicity of line and for their vivid representation of the subject matter's social economic status. Picasso for his light inventive energy. Early figurative sculptures were made in the life room Life drawing important for its rigour Interest in movement and balance Humour light hearted Narrative - each piece tells a story Commissions - enjoy the dialogue and exploration of diverse subject matter Experiences filter through to work eventually
