ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece, like many of my pieces is inspired by nature and the environment that I live in. The piece is hand sculpted out of a stoneware porcelain blend clay, glazed, glazed a 3rd time with real 18k gold on edges and detailed. There are 3 genuine South Sea pearls attached. The exterior finish is gold leaf detailing. As is customary in Japanese culture, imperfections are actually enhanced in gold, and the small crack detail on the inside is enhanced with real gold.
