Infanta Margarita - Las Meninas Sculpture

This is the "Infanta Margarita" that composes the painting of Las Meninas by Velázquez and my interpretation is the following: The Infanta was a five-year-old girl at the time of painting, and the entire representation of "Las Meninas" revolves around her. As I saw it, this girl had to live the innocence of her childhood along with the obligations and the rigid rules imposed by customs and etiquette. That’s why I wanted to shape her demonstrating this duality, with one hip configured by a simple sewing machine, without any paint or ornaments, and the other - with a lacquered machine finished with gold.
