The 4 forms in this work can be placed in different positions in relationship to each other according to the location. The dimensions of the largest form are stated above. Other dimensions : h 23 x w 23 x d 23.5 / h 21 x w 26.5 x d 16.5 / h 20.8 x w 24.5 x d 29 cm. The forms were originally developed as a maquette for a larger sculpture at a scale of 1:10. and the full size work is now on show outside at the Lia Schelkens Gallery, Belgium. Each sculpture is spot welded to allow light to be seen through the seams of it's hollow form. The surfaces have been allowed to rust to create a patina and a more natural organic quality. All the patinated surfaces have then been waxed and polished to provide a sheen to the panels and prevent further oxidisation. The internal spaces and the shadows these forms cast are important expressive elements of the work. An imaginative sense of external space outside the sculpture is created by the way the forms project into space.
