About The Artwork
Solid bronze piece of a jackal chasing a few guinea fowl. The black/silver back jackal is a common canine predator found in Southern Africa. It is a nocturnal hunter and is often found scavenging the leftovers of larger predators like lions and cheetahs. Guinea fowls are fast and alert creatures that sleep in trees at night, so catching one is a difficult task and often failed, but when the jackal succeeds, it is a rare treat like no other.
