This sculpture was created through a layered process of burning, excavation, addition and subtraction. The materials, construction and physicality of the object speak to the tactility of lived experience in a time where it seems to be diminishing. This work continues an examination of circular forms as conduits to understanding and reconnection with the tactile, organic and concrete in an age of screen based experience.
The unique non-algorithmically constructed nature of this work is intentionally structured to allow for the processes involved to combine with organic materials and create new structures within the overarching structure of the work itself.

Industrial elements blend into organic ones and swirl into new life. this intersectional dynamic reflects the psychological reality of the built environment, nature, and post-internet existence.

I of III unique sculptural objects in the LUNA series.
