About The Artwork
'Wall-Shrine Lamorna Wink' wall-sculpture 2021 inspired by visits to Lamorna Cove (Cornwall UK), part of this sculpture contains a piece of driftwood found at this cove. Lamorna Cove is steeped in marine history, tales of pirates & smugglers dating back to the 13th Century. Actor Robert Newton (Treasure Island 1950) was educated in Lamorna, his ashes were scattered in the cove by his son in 1956, some of my parents ashes were also scattered there more recently.
