1 plastic bottle made into a unique sculptural artwork!! A unique mixed media wall sculptural artwork, done on canvas with a beautiful texture of painted upcycled plastic bottles. This artwork is inspired by a close up macro shot of a coral cluster. Project - 'For the planet' : Recycled artworks I started doing since 3 years, after a pledge to work for a greener planet. There are may species on verge of extinction , and the main cause being plastic pollution. All the plastic bottles with different textures are upcycled to get unique textures on my artworks. I decided to work with oceanlife theme, since they are most affected due to plastic pollution. In each of my works, the texture is individually cut and painted from discarded plastic bottles. Its my way of saving our planet. So buying one of my original works from this series, you are not only supporting art but also supporting a good cause. The artwork is done on canvas and the texture which is 100% made from upcycled plastic trash, is assembled on to it. The art will come framed. It will be signed on front and certificate of authenticity will be attached

Swapna Namboodiri create assemblages, installations and sculptural artworks using mixed mediums including found objects and repurposed plastics. Her art practice is inextricably intertwined with sustainability. Nature being her favorite subject, she try to embrace the beauty of textures and patterns around her and create a visual treat in her works using reclaimed plastics. Her works often reflects the Japanese philosophy ‘Wabi-Sabi’- to embrace the beauty of imperfections. She embraces the imperfect organic shapes created by the hand-cut single-use plastics and highlights the textures in her artworks, making it a unique collectible piece of art!
