Looking Down On You Sculpture

"Art decorates space, music decorates time" In my work, I try to convey the quote above. It is myself trying to visually show how music makes me feel. My hope is that it brings the same feeling to you about my work. Dead wax refers to the unused space between the last song and the label on a vinyl record. I only use vinyl with errors, scratches, warped, or records reproduced currently. It can take me weeks or years to find records for pieces and sometimes I only find one ever. I carve them out with a wood-burning tool and then sand and mount them to a wood panel.
