Rough sculpture in concrete in brutalist style, handcrafted product. Flaws and imperfections are due to the fact that the product is handmade. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Concrete creations, made without formal mediation. There are no frills, they are massive, heavy, solid. Their shape is given by templates which transform themselves after every creation and the choice of concrete as a raw material expresses the rough and essential soul of these works of art. In the collection there are vases, which are not just items of furniture, but convey an outstanding form of life, proud of taking back its stolen spaces. Sculptures with brutal faces and a story to tell. Each of them shows cracks and chinks, signs, like wrinkles, due to a working process which is carried out entirely by hand, and which takes time. Blocks of concrete, with improbable shapes, which hold up and release light. The proportions are not respected, the aesthetic details take second place, in favour of expressions which are not harmonious and balanced, but hard and primitive. The distinctive feature of these sculptures are their defects, precious imperfections which make them unique. Twenty years ago, a spark lighted up his passion for serigraphy, an ancient and magic art which allowed him to express his point of view of the world and his sensitivity. He doesn’t look for perfection, but he enhances the essence: the imperfections, the cracks and the chinks are the signs of time and of manual skills, which testify the uniqueness and the originality of every work of art. Every piece has their own identity card which proves its authenticity and its value, showing that time, work, care and passion are fundamental elements of art. He made Time his fellow: the time needed to think, to try, to make mistakes, to start again and to complete a work of art. The time needed to create a piece at a time, with the same care and attention. The time which makes a project grow and evolve, triggered by curiosity and challenge.
