ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The male model Gordon has a both majestic and vulnerable appearance that I hope is identifiable in this standing figure of him. The figure is modelled in stone clay burned only to non-stone clay temperature around 1000 degree celsius, so is not guaranteed as water and frost secure to outdoor use. The white stains visible is salts from the clay pulled out during the burning proces. They will probably disappear if burned to stone clay temperature 1200-1300 degrees. The figure could also be patinated maybe with an oxidizing bronze look (greenish).

Between childhood and my children's childhood I nearly never was creative in this way. But then, when my children began to play with clay and plaster, I returned to the creative arts. First, I worked with and attended classes in clay figure modelling. Then I also worked with more or less abstract sculpture making in paper clay, wood, plaster, resins - and got occupied with mould making in silicones and castings in plaster and resins. Also, a few works of paintings. Born 1951. Living in central Copenhagen, Denmark.
