About The Artwork
This sculpture was inspired by a silhouette of a figure screaming upwards. I had to cut out the shape very carefully several times using a bandsaw. The type of the wood is very fragile and delicate as it represents the 'struggle' in the piece. Due to the minimalistic approach, the figure almost seems like an island and I really like that about it. It is part #1 from a series of two outcomes. Shipping may cause breakage of the wood due to the delicacy of the technique. The actual height of the wood is about 5-7 cm. If interested in the original, do get in contact to discus.
