About The Artwork

There is war in many countries around the world. A cowardly war with drones and weapons outlawed by the UN. As always, it's about power, the soil and its treasures and strategic military bases. The war has even returned to Europe with Ukraine. But what about the war being waged with other weapons? The war between rich and poor? US entrepreneur Warren Buffet said in 2006, "There's class war, right, but it's my class, the rich class that is at war, and we're winning." Our governments are long gone as people's representatives, on the contrary representing the interests of bankers, the military and pharmaceutical industries, the oil and nuclear multinationals - in short, the rich elite In 2016, the 62 richest people together had as much wealth as the poorer half of the world's population. My picture titled "Schwermut" shows a Hamburg homeless man who is a victim of this war. What grief, what desperation must he have already lived through?
