Metal Pug Dog Sculpture

Growing up on a farm, we always used what we had available and recycled parts for many different uses. Creating recycled metal sculptures is much like that for me. When finding old parts, bearings and locks to incorporate in pieces, you start seeing the interesting lines and textures in everyday things you would normally overlook. Using ball bearing and brass eyes seem to bring these sculpture to life. One of my favorite parts to make, on the dogs, are the ears. They are cut from the bottom of old oil cans and I try when possible to incorporate some of the letting in each ear. I am interested to see where the adventure of finding unique pieces and welding them together will take me next
