ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The sculpture is made of varnished walnut.The work is done in a single copy. The prototype of my work was the monk Nestor the Chronicler. The title of historian is great and responsible. We know Herodotus, and Plutarch, and Tacitus, and N.M. Karamzin. But for Russian history there is no higher authority, no higher name than Rev. Nestor the Chronicler (c. 1056–114) - a monk of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, father of Russian history. In each people you can meet your Nestor, who collected bit by bit the history of his people.
