Nature and ocean being my major source of inspiration, I often recreate the structures and patterns found in various natural elements. 'Nautical Fortune'- A unique wall sculptural artwork, inspired by the Colors, patterns and textures from various vibrant coral reefs, sea anemones and marine lives. This artwork is created with a beautiful texture of painted upcycled plastics. In each of my works, the texture is individually cut and painted from repurposed plastics and assembled on a canvas. The 3D structure inspired by repetitive patterns of corals, creates a really interesting form and would add a modern touch to the wall space. Dimension of the unframed artwork- 20X20 cm Framed Dimension- 25X25 cm Project - 'For the planet' : I started doing upcycled artworks since 2016, after a pledge to work for a greener planet. All the plastic bottles with different textures are upcycled to get unique textures on my artworks, mostly inspired by the patterns in nature. Its my way of contribution for a sustainable planet. So buying one of my original works from this series, you are not only supporting art but also supporting a good cause. The art will come framed in black box frame with Perspex protection in front. It will be signed on front and certificate of authenticity will be attached.

Swapna Namboodiri create assemblages, installations and sculptural artworks using mixed mediums including found objects and repurposed plastics. Her art practice is inextricably intertwined with sustainability. Nature being her favorite subject, she try to embrace the beauty of textures and patterns around her and create a visual treat in her works using reclaimed plastics. Her works often reflects the Japanese philosophy ‘Wabi-Sabi’- to embrace the beauty of imperfections. She embraces the imperfect organic shapes created by the hand-cut single-use plastics and highlights the textures in her artworks, making it a unique collectible piece of art!
