ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My main subject matter are couples and families. My concept is to have individual figures come together in mix and match variations not just as romantic pairs but to include children and pets. My bronze figures have modern and simple lines yet they speak volumes in body language. I hope the viewer sees themselves and is romantically touched by their quietly loving bond. The pair is mounted or unmounted on a natural stone. The stones vary and are custom made to order for you sculpture pair. Bronze sculpture is the ultimate and since I had been a child I wanted to work in that medium. It took a few iterations. I was a printmaker and painter for almost 20 years, until I started to seriously pursue work in sculpture and bronze in 2008. During that time I still owned a fine art gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2014, I moved back to Santa Fe, NM a great place for artists and worked exclusively on my sculptures since. My studio is busy with custom orders and family portraits from miniature to monumental.
