“Phalaenopsis”: derived from - having the appearance of a moth, and fraternizing with moths, once was mistaken for a flurry of the crepuscular animal. P. amabilis, the “lovely” white moth orchids (aka moon orchid) are simultaneously a symbol for congratulations and condolences. Similarly, C. pusaria (common white wave moth), attracted by the light, is a symbol of life cycles, life, death and rebirth. Orchids and their roots are ruled by Venus, Mars and Pluto, symbols of fertility, fertilization, creativity and rebirth. Not only a consecrating ritual herbe, but apparently an effective fertility booster.
