Sculpture, Wood on Wood
Size: 9.4 W x 18.5 H x 6.3 D in
Ships in a Box
It is said that Pandora, who had received curiosity from the god Mercury, could not resist and opened the vase that had been given to her by Zeus. When he opened it, all the evils of the world were freed, and hope remained on the bottom. Subsequently, Pandora reopened the vase and, when hope also escaped, the conditions of human beings on earth improved. A story that has always fascinated me and to whom I have dedicated this sculpture, made of a very difficult wood to carve. Handmade in Florence, Italy.

I'm an italian handcraft artisan, I love sculpture and all my works are handmade. When I was a child, I thought that my family had found me under a tree, because of the song that my father dedicated to me. Perhaps my passion for wood was born here, in the forests where I take inspirations for my creations and where I pick the roots of the trees that I transform into sculptures. But the forest is for me also a place where I can feel happy and free from all thoughts.
