Wanting to go on a different direction than the classical representation of beauty, that for the sculptor lacked emotional content, the focus for this piece became the emotions that are normally shunned by most but are a big part of being human. Taking as starting point the idea of the Jerusalem Wailing Wall, where people go to pour their emotions over, the sculptor began to made her wall using block of Portuguese limestone and marble. The intent was to reflect that if we had our emotions reflected to us, after being so intensely poured over, would we like what we saw? Rather than a critic to any religion is a reflection about human nature.

Sandra Borges is born in 1979 in Lisbon. The sculptor mostly based her work on human behavior. Sometimes looking through the stereotypes, sometimes through the eyes of a individual, it is always about how one's personality is formed and how one relates to the other and in society. Working only with Portuguese stone (marbles, limestone`s and breccia), she also mix it with other media if the idea demands it. The result is very personal way to make art objects that link the tradition of stone carving to other materials and plastic languages.
