Dmytruk's work is influenced by his connection with composer ,lifelong friend and musician Murray J Reid. The melodic tones of three of Murray Reid’s recent musical compositions, ‘1987’, ‘Ode to Mother Earth’, and ‘Ukraine’, have been the catalyst that spawned a body of new work by Dmytruk. Patterns, textures, shapes and audacious color are integrated to complement a kaleidoscope of sculptural compositions visualizing the intricacies of Murray’s symphonic melodies which negotiate feeling of loss, of normality, of civility, of our home planet and loss of a loved one.
