ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I created this piece by folding and connecting felt material to panel, recreating wave forms of the natural world. Ironically, however, I made it against the backdrop of the 2020 coronavirus crisis, during which the term 'ripple effect' was mentioned in endless news stories about the economic aftershock of the pandemic. It's my intention that a viewer appreciates the fact that environmental metaphors shape how we describe just about everything. I also hope they find visual harmony in the interconnected, wild curves of this piece—and life itself. Ripple Effect comes ready to hang perfectly flush against your wall with a keyhole slot. Hanging hardware can be added upon request.

Born in San Francisco and raised in a nondescript Philadelphia suburb, she has lived in Houston, Texas since 2013.
