I was born in Lisbon and from an early age I became a creator, a creator in the sense of maker. Since I was a child, I have been playing and developing carpentry and metalwork pieces, always with the support of design as a tool for ideation. Later I worked with clay and as a teenager I began professional training as a stone sculptor. Sculpture has become my preferred medium, even when I wear the guise of an architect. I love areas of knowledge that mix traditional techniques with new technologies. Perhaps that's why I became interested in architecture, an activity that now takes up a large part of my time as a professional. I am passionate about creating spaces and experiences, about inclusion in art and architecture, or pieces that can make the public question the surrounding reality. I like what is tactile. Furthermore, I am also passionate about science, culture, sociology, anthropology, mythology and philosophy. In 2012 I moved to London, where I developed work in sculpture and artistic installations for 5 years, in retail for brands such as Mulberry, Adidas, Victoria Secrets, Ted Baker, House of Fraiser, or others in spaces like Harrods, and Selfridges, having also developed work that had international exposure, in New York, Shanghai, Paris and Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In 2018 I returned to Portugal, opened my own company, Fauno, dedicated to artistic creation and research in sculpture.
