About The Artwork

This bronze animal sculpture is a simplified and abstracted form, loosely based on archaic miniature sculptures from the Celtic or early Greek epoch, sometimes found on belt buckles. The many diagonal lines of legs, tail and neck synchronize to create this dynamic animal sculpture, indicating perpetual motion. The only horizontal line is the small head, purposefully looking ahead, and striving on. The real inspiration to this sculpture was my son, 3 years old at the time, who appeared to me as never- resting, always on the move and exploring.
