The unusual appearance of the rhino has always been inspirational to many artists. From the famous Dürer prints from 1515, then the very famous portrait of Clare (famous female Indian rhinoceros) from the 18th century painted by Jean-Baptiste Oudry in life-size, to contemporary numerous paintings and sculptures. Unlike inspiration induced appearance this unusual animal, mine was triggered by an sadly event which is due to poachers on rhino horn number of remaining northern rhinoceros on this planet brought to number 7. I asked myself what I can do to prevent more extinctions. I decided to make a 7 bronze sculptures of northern white rhinos (what is also the usual number of casts allowed in the bronze sculpture) With exhibition of these magnificent animals in the number 7 I want to warn on to the problem where human superstition, stupidity, and greed lead to the extinction of an entire species. Poachers hunted the rhino for its horn, which is believed by some in Yemen and China to possess aphrodisiacal powers. In a meanwhile, the last male northern white rhino died and today the number of remaining living specimens is reduced to only tree female. When the problem grew from desperate into a hopeless, I decided to make a life-size portrait of the last male in bronze. Bronze sculpture in honor of the last male white rhino in its natural size would be the strong warning to the human consciousness because we know now that the man wipes out more than 1,500 species forever from our planet with our irresponsible behavior and 16,928 are listed as threatened to be extinct.

In my sculptural and painting projects, I work on themes that describe life in its physical, artistic and sociological aspects. Besides the interpretation, trough three-dimensional shape that came out of nature that made all shapes long time ago I also explain the theme of human relationships. Besides humanistic themes my eternal inspiration is nature. Many of my projects are dedicated to the preservation of endangered animal species. One of those projects is Northern white rhino project designed to raise awareness of extinction caused by poaching. Material that I use is mostly marble or marble in combination with bronze or some other material. My sculptures and paintings are often self-portraits and biographical descriptions of my character that come out trough precise technical production in the material.
