Giovanni Cappelletti was born in Assisi, Italy, in 1953 and moved to Civitanova Marche at the age of three. Naturally inclined to drawing since childhood, he studied at the Istituto Statale d’Arte of Macerata, graduating in 1971 with a specialization in goldsmithing. After completing his studies, Cappelletti worked as a designer and model maker in various jewelry and silversmithing companies. In 1974, he moved to Paris to join a prestigious jewelry atelier, where he absorbed the rich cultural and artistic atmosphere of the city. In 1976, he returned to Civitanova Marche and continued working while dedicating his free time to art. In his private studio, he has since created over 500 unique works, including drawings, oil paintings, sculptures, bas-reliefs, and mixed media. Since the 1990s, his works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and internationally. In addition to visual arts, Cappelletti has explored literature, producing five unpublished collections of poetry, reflections, and short stories. He signs his works with his surname Cappelletti, as well as two pseudonyms: Paul Chocqet, inspired by his time in Paris Johann Hütchen, reflecting his experiences in Bern, Switzerland, where his wife Alessandra Ferroni lived Since 2021, Giovanni Cappelletti has been included in the Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea, published by DeAgostini, which also reports his market quotations.
