ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Slab-study, IPKW 6 - V2 2021 Fiber reinforced cast concrete, graphite, and 3D-printed PET. European Ash frame. H.19,3 x W.15 x D.2 cm. H.7⅝ x W.5⅞ x D.¾ inch. Cat.# AC21.07S V2 “Slab-studies” are the sketch proofs which are a fundamental part of my studio practice. With these studies, I experiment with various techniques - refining the concrete mix, mold surface, and compositional elements. Often more than one version of these studies is made, identified by their version number on the back, which gradually lead to the final composition. Slab-studies are each unique works, signed and stamped on the back with serial number. Certificate of authenticity and mounting hardware is included with the work.
