Soloist Sculpture

Born in Poland in 1957 and came to Australia 1982. Studied Painting, Graphic and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Art in Wroclaw, Poland 1979-81, BA City Art Institute, Sydney, 1985-88, -then painting - Graduate Diploma Fine Art- at the City Art Institute, Sydney 1989.I have always been interested in the complexity of human condition and the variety of human behaviour.I explore the parallels between ordinary people and the people that reside in my imagination, who in my minde appear more like symbols of emotions. It is important for me to search for the universality of human condition. The figures that I do more or less represent someone but at the same time they cross over and change into symbols that represent all of us. I try to express what I see inside people: their wishes, dreams and desires.
