This 3D piece is about making and juxtoposition. Influenced by Dada and early modern art, it takes two very different textured objects, a piece of bacon and an empty steel nitrous oxide canister, and connects them through an act of brutality; that of nailing. To finalise its place in the world and make it a piece of art it is mounted on a wooden plinth and titled. The whole sculpture is coated in thick rough resin to give it permanence yet keep its organic quality.

There they made primitive b&w pictures, and Stephen hasn't stopped creating since. His work has been collected by clients around the world, and he likes to think his work gives pleasure, entertains and creates discussion.
