About The Artwork

Part of a larger series "fragments of a failed West" imagining the artefact future archaeologists would use to the tell the story of the West's decline as a political and cultural heavyweight. This piece is inspired by the Sovereign's Orb, part of the British Crown Jewels. The orb signifies 'Christ's dominion over earth' and by extension, the divine right of the Monarch to rule over all.

As a Culture Futurist, Jeremiah’s practice explores how our understanding of Identity is rapidly evolving, facilitated by emerging technologies such as virtual avatars and the metaverse, as well as forecasting intersections of Culture and Technology. Working in a variety of media (painting, sculpture, VR/AR, performance), Jeremiah consistently produces thoughtful and compelling work underpinned by research and creative exploration. Drawing from an extraordinary combination of skills including creating roles on television for the BBC and AppleTV, live improvisational performances, and dance training informs a vibrant, physically-engaged practice. His willingness to engage and experiment with new and unusual materials is reflected in the wide range of processes he uses to generate each collection.
