ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Soft needle felted sculpture "Standing Lamb" Usually lamb stands in this pose when he is born. After lambing he has to become strong so he stands in this stable unique form. I always wanted to make sculpture about Lamb's first days of his live. I do a little farming, so I love to see how sheep and lambs live, how the Greatest Creator creates. It is always amazes me. This is soft needle felted sculpture. It has a strong wire armature inside. The grey wool is natural from my heritage sheep. The curls are used raw natural clipped from young lamb. Soft wool sculpture generates a wish to touch ... Sculptures dimensions: Height - 10 in Length - 10 in without a tail Width - 5.5 in

When the morning breaks, when a strong lamb is born, when the bird is on the sheep. I stop, listen and feel the miracles of nature's greatness. Moments recorded in my mind, later through the clay are turned into bronze and telling small stories. As a chronicle I am watching, fixing, modeling. These stories creates a relationship between me and the Creator. The sculpture in the bronze gives me a sense of completeness. Small sculpted details are still in bronze casting. Works are durable and suitable for the interior. Compositions made from wool gives a wish to touch natural raw material and feel the sculpture. I was born in Vilnius in 1979, Lithuania. After graduating sculpture department in Art academy moved to a country side in Kaunas county, Lithuania.
