ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Steve Burke is a metal artist based in the North East of Scotland. His work includes reclaimed material from lots of everyday objects, particularly classic cars. Strachan, the Highland Cow has been created using reclaimed metal and parts from classic cars. His horns are created from twin exhausts tailpipes. Strachan was inspired by the artist's fondness for the highland cows that live close to his home in Scotland, his delight in giving unloved and worn objects new meaning and his love of metal as an evocative material for sculptures. Strachan is designed to be mounted to a wall and is included with the necessary bracket. The sculpture weighs 10kg and has been sealed with clear lacquer to prevent rust.
