I've explored the red canyon country of Utah over the years and have been inspired by the natural beauty and the never ending surprises with each step of the hike or climb or descent. My art reflects my culture and environments. I was born in China, grew up in Brooklyn and worked in my studios in Tribeca and Soho. I now live on a mountaintop in upstate New York. My work is sometimes architectural, sometimes organic and flowing. I like to give the viewer a gift of surprise. It's also important that I challenge the viewer. I hold a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Pratt Institute. I am retired from my position as Art Teacher at Fallsburg High School, where I had been Department Chair with five sub-departments for many years. Since then, I continue to make art, but also devote time to community improvements. My art work has been exhibited in local galleries, including the Liberty Museum, the Sullivan County Museum, the Catskill Art Society, the Alliance Gallery, and the Nutshell Arts Center. My work has also been exhibited at the New York State Museum in Albany, the Abrons Art Center and Pratt Manhattan Graphics Center in New York City, and other galleries out of state. Contact me at:
