If you ever watched squirrels at a bird feeder it is almost impossible to keep them away. They are smart and very stubborn and if you have a lot of squirrels that visit you feeder than you have very little grass left on your lawn, cause they like to bury seeds for later. I use copper sheeting and copper wire for my projects. By heating and cooling I get the copper to a soft and workable consistency to form my subject. It takes many pieces to form a squirrel , and a lot of pounding into the proper shapes and the fitting of shapes for the brazing process, using copper phosphorus rod to a temperature between 2500 and 4000 degrees F., the more mass you have the hotter the flame has to be,so there is no control of color. This copper impression is coated with multiple coats of clear lacquer to keep it from oxidizing
