This work explores the distortions that occur when recalling dreams and memories. Reality, often accepted as non-negotiable, becomes malleable the further we get from the moment at which something took place. Similarly, dreams are a secondary reality which we regularly visit, separate from but often related to events which happen in our daily life. These quilts, made of repurposed materials, are an abstracted representation of dreams and memories. Fabrics, once designated for a certain purpose, have been reincarnated. A vivid dream may be fully forgotten through the course of a day, just as stories told years later morph and change to become unrecognizable. Soft sculpture conveys the malleability of a moment, starting immediately after its conception.
